The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Benn.

The fighters circle momentarily. Benn darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Farha had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Benn defends it easily.

Benn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Smith tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Davison is able to avoid easily.

Davison steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Smith. That one must have hurt.

Davison feints a jab promting Smith to slip. Davison then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Smith slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Sam Smith has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Well Translucent has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Doe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Williams sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Doe stalks Williams and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Williams's face. Williams staggers backwards, shaken.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Doe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
