Cardoso tries to clinch up but Nascimento circles away and keeps his distance.

Turolla looks to land a combination but Lucjo avoids it well.
Turolla tries to close the distance and clinch but Lucjo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Turolla misses with a double jab.
Turolla takes a swing at Lucjo's ribcage but misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Turolla misses the target.
Turolla looks to land a combination. Lucjo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Turolla drops Lucjo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lucjo looks back up at him and smiles so Turolla waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Turolla lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

Ribeiro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rocha Freire Junior looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rocha Freire Junior tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Ribeiro wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rocha Freire Junior, who protects the arm well.

Ribeiro thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rocha Freire Junior is not content to let Ribeiro control the position.
The strikes coming from Ribeiro are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Rocha Freire Junior is looking for a sweep.
Rocha Freire Junior really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ribeiro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ribeiro is working to tighten is grip on Rocha Freire Junior's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rocha Freire Junior has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ribeiro is really squeezing tight and eventually Rocha Freire Junior passes out! Ribeiro breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
