I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jason Frank was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tits misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Frank.

Frank shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Frank was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tits wants to try and get back to his feet.
Tits can't escape the position.
Frank really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tits. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Let's hope that Frank has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Tits slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Tits is staying active underneath Frank, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jason Frank wasn't active enough on the ground.
Frank circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Frank counters by clinching up.

Tits gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Frank regains guard.

Tits drops back looking for a leg! Frank is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Frank manages to kick Tits off! Tits jumps back into Frank's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Frank had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tits defends it easily.
Tits is looking to work some ground and pound but Frank has wrist control.
Tits won't allow Frank to sweep him here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tits drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tits jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Tits drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Frank manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tits has Frank in his guard.

Tits looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Frank gets to his feet. Tits looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Tony Tits seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tits tries for a takedown but Frank sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Frank misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tits is looking to clinch but Frank is avoiding it.

Frank drives through and clinches with Tits against the cage.

Frank drags the fight down to the ground.
Tits passes Frank's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Tits moves nicely into side control.
Frank looks gassed!

Tits wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frank, who protects the arm well.

Tits tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tits has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
You can see the frustration on Frank's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Frank is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Tits throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Tits working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Tits has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Frank is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Tits yanks on the arm and Frank is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Tits.

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Cordo throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Mir is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Vega throws a nice looking combination but Assante bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Vega looks to land a combination but Assante avoids it well.
Vega works over Assante's head and body with a nice combination.
Vega wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Assante with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vega to score with a decent uppercut.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Assante. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Assante misses with a takedown attempt - Vega sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Good leg kick by Sentipiel there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Sentipiel is fighting off a takedown attempt but Grapow is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sentipiel to the mat. Sentipiel regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Sentipiel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
