The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McFadden shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Diaz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

McFadden avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Diaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Diaz wants to free his trapped foot but McFadden is holding on for dear life with his legs.

McFadden looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Diaz has picked McFadden up and slammed him! McFadden can't keep hold of the triangle and Diaz manages to pass to side control!

Diaz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McFadden is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Overfield Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arjay Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Overfield Jr might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I Need A Doctor. Murphy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by 4 Minutes to Lockdown by Redman & Method Man. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Liddell lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Steel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Steel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sherdog leaves Donald with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sherdog changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Donald tries to avoid it but Sherdog manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Donald to the ground. Donald escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
