De Groot lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

De Groot closes the distance and pushes McCall back into the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

McCall clinches up with De Groot and pushes him back against the cage.

McCall takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Good leg kick by McCall there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from De Groot lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McCall has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McCall and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

De Groot lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
De Groot tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McCall manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McCall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
De Groot tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Karl De Groot.
I think De Groot has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
