The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tankov moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Stark throws a looping overhand right but Tankov ducks down to avoid it.
Stark throws out a loose jab but Tankov uses good head movement to avoid it.

Tankov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Tankov throws a low kick, looking for Stark's leg but Stark calmly moves out of range.

Tankov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stark manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Stark tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Stark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tankov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tankov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stark has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tankov has managed to get both his arms back between Stark's legs - danger averted.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tankov tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Stark throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Stark's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tankov under the eye.

Stark misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tankov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Stark is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Tankov throws a front kick aimed at Stark's knee but Stark avoids it well.
Some bone on bone action there as Stark checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Stark fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tankov sprawls well initially but Stark persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stark seems to be working for a kimura but Tankov defends the submission attempt.
Stark wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tankov keeps working.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Stark will probably get the nod.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stark is on top in guard.

Tankov is looking for a triangle but Stark pushes his legs off easily.
