The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anthony takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like William Anthony has been cut.
Conway scores with a jab to the body.
Anthony fails to land the takedown.
Anthony dives in and grabs Conway's left leg, looking for a takedown. Conway pushes down on Anthony's head and hops out.
Anthony has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Conway finds it's way round the side to connect with Anthony's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Conway stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Conway wants it to stay on the feet.
Ryan Conway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Anthony.
Anthony changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conway tries to avoid it but Anthony manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conway to the ground. Conway escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Conway rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anthony moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
William Anthony seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Conway counters with a thumping low kick.

Anthony is holding his hands too far apart here. Conway throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Anthony is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Oooooh!!! Nation has knocked Crotch down with a huge combo! Nation steps away and waves a wobbly Crotch back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Devon Crotch has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Crotch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nation circles away quickly and effectively.
Nation throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Crotch scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nation doesn't seem bothered though.
Nation throws a body kick that misses.
Devon Crotch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nation pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Crotch throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nation.

Casey Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The fighters circle momentarily. Johnson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Maritimus lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Johnson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Johnson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Maritimus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maritimus gets slowly back to his feet.
Maritimus is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Maritimus.

Johnson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Alves counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Maynard misses with a looping right.
Maynard takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Alves bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ground and pound from Alves seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Maynard tries to buck Alves off but Alves is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Maynard can do anything to dispel that myth.
Alves misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alves wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Maynard, who protects the arm well.

Alves has an Americana. Maynard didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Alves is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Alves hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Hensball misses with a hook to the ribs.
Mann blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Mann is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hensball is defending well.
Mann lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Hensball tries a body shot but Mann blocks it.
Mann jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hensball walks away with a smile on his face. Mann gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lil I throws a front kick aimed at Johnson's knee but Johnson avoids it well.
Johnson misses with a head kick.
Johnson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lil I's calf.
Johnson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lil I momentarily.
Lil I lands a body shot.
Lil I misses the shot to the body.
Lil I throws out a leg kick but Johnson moves out of range and Lil I only half commits.
Johnson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lil I pushes Johnson away with a front kick.
Lil I throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lil I checks the leg kick nicely there.
Lil I moves away from the strike by Johnson.
Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Johnson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Johnson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Lil I circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lil I misses with a straight right.
Johnson throws a low kick but Lil I avoids it.

Lil I looks to land a body kick but Johnson moved away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lil I is defended easily by Johnson.
Lil I throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lil I off to one side.

Lil I has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.

Lil I has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Johnson doesn't defend quickly enough and Lil I has managed to lock this one up! Can Johnson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Lil I on a fantastic submission victory.
