The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johanson swings for the body but Fonte moves out of range.
Johanson digs a good body shot into Fonte's ribs.

Fonte walks into a straight right hand from Johanson.

Fonte closes the distance and clinches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Johanson.

Johanson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fonte walks into a stiff left hand from Johanson.

Johanson sends Fonte crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Johanson is motioning to the referee to let Fonte up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Fonte is rocked!
Johanson missing with a left hand there. Fonte was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Oh Fonte is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fonte shoots in for a double leg but Johanson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kelvin Fonte.

Johanson cracks Fonte with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Johanson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Fonte to stand back up!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Johanson counters with a nice right hand that sends Fonte toppling to the canvas! Fonte scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Johanson finish him?!

Johanson lands a big uppercut and Fonte crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Fonte looks OK. Johanson waves Fonte back to his feet!
Fonte drops his hands momentarily. Johanson doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Fonte staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Fonte doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Kewell shoots for a double leg takedown but Buodad sprawls well. He's pushed Kewell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
