Overeem uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Darden.

McGrim uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Da Silva.

McGrim scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Da Silva tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

McGrim has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Da Silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! McGrim is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Da Silva pulls down on the head and he's put McGrim to sleep! This one is all over!

Sonnen shoots in for a takedown but Archer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Archer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sonnen pinned against the cage. Sonnen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice takedown defense from Archer. No joy for Sonnen on that attempt.
Sonnen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Sonnen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sonnen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Archer circles away.
Archer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Archer works to advance to full mount. Sonnen defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Archer jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sonnen manages to avoid the submission attempt.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Archer has an Americana. Sonnen didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Archer is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Archer hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Syn works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

It looks like Einar Einarson has been cut.
Einarson fails with a takedown attempt.
Einarson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Syn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Einarson moves away.
Syn moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nice sprawl there from Syn as Einarson shoots in.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Syn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Einarson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Syn is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Einarson rather than just go for the knockout.
Syn scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Einarson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Syn cracks Einarson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Einarson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Syn finish him?

Syn sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Einarson's defenses. It connects perfectly with Einarson's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Michal Nowak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nowak moves into the clinch successfully.

Nowak is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Caleb can't fight it off and eventually Nowak manages to take the fight to the floor. Caleb looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Caleb has his foot on Nowak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nowak works his way back into a safe position though.

Michal Nowak opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
