The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter ducks under a wild hook from Spooner.
Spooner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spooner throws a hook to the side of Carter's head but Carter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Carter sizes up Spooner with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Spooner blocks a jab.
Carter throws a good cross that connects.
Del Spooner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Spooners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Spooner misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Carter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Carter throws a body punch but Spooner moves out of range.
Carter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carter fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Spooner on the side of the head.
A jab lands there for Carter.

Spooner is still on wobbly legs! Can Carter finish him?
Carter pushes Spooner against the cage. Carter is working some dirty boxing. Carter pushes off with a quick right hook! Spooner goes down! Spooner tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Carter moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Dutra drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Destruction gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dutra is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Destruction is defending well.
Destruction is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dutra gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Dutra swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Dutra wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matheus Dutra. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Destruction lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Dutra wants to improve his position but Destruction is controlling well.

Dutra knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Destruction on the ground.
Destruction tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Destruction is working for a guillotine from mount but Dutra frees his head quite easily.
Destruction is landing with some decent strikes but Dutra is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Destruction! Dutra is hurt baaadly! Destruction is firing away with more strikes - Dutra is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
