The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drake dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Drake moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Drake has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rua is working away from the top position though.

Drake dips a shoulder and cracks Rua with a mighty uppercut! Rua falls back against the cage and Drake unloads with a barrage of strikes! Rua is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Drake screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

De Leon is nestled in close to Rua, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Baran avoids the head kick by Rua.
Rua misses with a two punch combination.

It looks like Thiago Rua has been cut.
Jab, jab by Baran - just one landing.
Rua takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Baran will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rua looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Baran is fending him off so far but Rua persists. Nope, Baran circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Baran, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rua should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Baran stalks Rua and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rua's face. Rua staggers backwards, shaken.
Baran ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Baran comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A jab from Baran does it's job there.

That has opened up Thiago Rua's cut even more.
Rua moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Baran really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Baran misses with a body shot.
Baran stuffs the takedown.
Rua drops his hands momentarily and Baran takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Baran throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rua stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rua lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Baran! Rua is backing up but he can't get away as Baran lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Rua and ends the fight. Great knockout.

After the fight, Peyton Kraze was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
