Messer lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Alexeev backs up against the cage.
Alexeev takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Messer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Messer wants it to stay on the feet.
Messer lands a body shot.
Alexeev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Messer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Alexeev moves forwards but Messer connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Malushev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kimura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
