The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rogers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vonny as he jumps to the side.
Rogers dives in and grabs Vonny's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vonny pushes down on Rogers's head and hops out.
Vonny connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rogers. Rogers circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Vonny throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vonny with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Horrible takedown by Rogers or perhaps it was just good defense by Vonny which made him look bad.
Chad Vonny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Rogers.

Millar shoots for a double leg takedown but Wolfwood sprawls well. He's pushed Millar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Lopez throws out a loose jab but Elbow uses good head movement to avoid it.
Elbow is still on wobbly legs! Can Lopez finish him?
Lopez lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Elbow up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Lopez from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Elbow's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

A pretty intense looking Luiz Lopez took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
