Richards throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Richards connects with a good right hand that stumbles Puckett. Puckett circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

It looks like Kirby Puckett has been cut.
Puckett takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That was a close round but George Chavalo did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Redmond closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brawn did well to prevent Redmond getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
