The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garciea walks into a stiff left hand from Smalls.
Smalls fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Garciea shoots in for a double leg but Smalls sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Smalls thuds a left hand into Garciea's body.
Smalls tests Garciea's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Smalls throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Smalls misses with the combination.
Smalls throws a leg kick but Garciea checks it.
Garciea checks the leg kick nicely there.

Smalls misses with a two punch combination.
Smalls will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Garciea shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smalls as he avoids it easily.
Smalls lands a lovely overhand right.

Smalls swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Garciea fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Smalls punishes Garciea's body with a nice straight punch.

Smalls fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Garciea to the ground. Smalls is now in Garciea's guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Garciea looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smalls is one step ahead there.

Garciea is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Garciea is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Smalls scores with a couple of nice shots.

Smalls maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Garciea could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Smalls has cracked it and Garciea is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Smalls!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kick tries to clinch but Rose moves away

and Rose counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kick preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rose is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rose keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kick's head.
Kick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rose. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rose accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rose is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Rose is looking to work some ground and pound but Kick has wrist control.
Rose stands up over Kick, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rose slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Rose in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Rose pushes down on Kick's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Rose is nestled in close to Kick, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Rose content to control rather than advance.
Rose seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Rose lands with a punch from half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rose lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rose trying to control the pace.
Rose working over Kick with some ground and pound. Kick looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Rose winds up and cracks Kick with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kick is rocked!
Rose controlling the position here and throwing strikes from the top. Nice elbow lands there... and another... and another... oh, Kick is out! Rose gets to his feet and admires his work - nice finish!
