The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leca will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Faber throws a right and a left that both miss.
Frank Faber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Faber misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Faber lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Leca backs up against the cage.
Faber throws a right hand that Leca ducks under and follows up with a left that Leca also avoids with ease.
Faber misses with a double jab

and Leca counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Leca is looking to take a break and control but Faber is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Aziz Leca wasn't active enough on the ground.

Faber has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Leca is really squeezing tight and eventually Faber passes out! Leca breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hatton in particular looking to stall.
