The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puukko throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Puukko scoring well with a low kick there.
Porunov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Puukko can pounce on him.
Porunov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Pekka Puukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Puukko looks to score with a jab to the body but Porunov is just out of range.
Puukko feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Porunov's calf.
Porunov doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Puukko counters with a one-two to the body.

Porunov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Puukko wants to control the action here but instead Porunov manages to pass to full mount!

Porunov looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Porunov has hold of Puukko's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Puukko manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mastadon feints and as Me raises his hands in defense, Mastadon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mastadon stops Me from standing up.

Mastadon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Me has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mastadon has managed to get both his arms back between Me's legs - danger averted.

Me has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mastadon is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Me.

Horrible takedown by Me or perhaps it was just good defense by Mastadon which made him look bad.
Mastadon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Me's waist but Me gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mastadon off to one side.

Well Mastadon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ferguson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Garza looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Garza has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Garza there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Garza counters with a straight right hand.
Ferguson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Garza moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Garza cracks Ferguson with a good jab.
Garza takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Garza really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
