The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos scores a takedown into full mount!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Doc keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Doc is squirming around, avoiding Santos's attempts to control the action.
Doc is in a horrible position here. Santos smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

It looks like Oppolla Doc has been cut.
Doc is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Doc is working to get back to half guard.

Santos wants to finish this one by submission but Doc is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Santos.

That has opened up Oppolla Doc's cut even more.
Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Oppolla Doc's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Filipovic tries to land knees in the clinch but Lesnar avoids the damage to the body.
Filipovic looking to stall.
Filipovic tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Filipovic is trying to break free.
Lesnar tries to score a body lock takedown but Filipovic shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Filipovic breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Filipovic throws a series of punches but Lesnar moves out of range.

It looks like Rocked Lesnar has been cut.
Lesnar looks gassed!
Filipovic works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lesnar looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Filipovic is fending him off so far but Lesnar persists. Nope, Filipovic circles away and we're back to standing.
Rocked Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Filipovic throws a right and a left that Lesnar avoids nicely.
Filipovic misses with a double jab.
Filipovic looks to land a combination but Lesnar avoids it well.
Filipovic takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Lesnar is rocked!

Filipovic controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Lesnar is still in real trouble! Can Filipovic finish him?
Filipovic postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Lesnar covers up, he's hurt! Filipovic keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Filipovic and the ref steps in to end the fight! Filipovic can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
