Boy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Johannsen tries to land a front kick but Boy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

No joy there for Boy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boy thows a leg kick but Johannsen checks it
and Johannsen counters with a nice body kick.

Johannsen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Boys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

It looks like Bad Boy has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johannsen.
Look low, kick high! Johannsen uses the oldest trick in the book to send Boy tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Johannsen is absolutely delighted - when Boy wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Cranshow lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cranshow turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cranshow really is a fat lump.
Cranshow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Varankus circles away quickly and effectively.

Cranshow clips Varankus with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Varankus a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.
Varankus looks gassed!

Cranshow scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Varankus beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.

Cranshow feints and then cracks Varankus's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Varankus down.
Varankus walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Cranshow! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Speakman tries to close the distance and clinch but Wright swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Speakman tries to bum rush Wright with a series of wild strikes but Wright uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Speakman misses with the combination.

Speakman avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wright is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Speakman doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Wright crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Wright's bad books for that mishap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niccoli fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Niccoli steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Santos.
Niccoli throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Niccoli lands a nice looking body kick.
Santos avoids the head kick by Niccoli.
Niccoli misses with a wild body shot.
Santos lands a nice shot that snaps Niccoli's head back.

The fighters circling - Santos throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cyborg Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos avoids the head kick by Niccoli.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Niccoli misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Santos throws an off balance right hand
and Niccoli makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Niccoli tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Santos was well out of range. Poor timing from Niccoli.
Santos throws a right and a left that both miss.
Santos throws a body punch but Niccoli moves out of range.
Niccoli jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Santos on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Santos. Niccoli does a little dance to reset his feet.
Santos bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Niccoli's head backwards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Santos throws a right and a left that both miss.

Niccoli lands a head kick that bluckles Santos and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Niccoli no doubt looking to push for a finish!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Niccoli counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Santos misses with a two punch combination.
Niccoli moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Santos on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Niccoli throws a hook but Santos blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Santos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Niccoli.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Niccoli.
Niccoli scores with a head kick.
Niccoli misses with a looping left.
The fighters circling - Niccoli throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Santos misses with a hook to the body
and Niccoli counters with a leg kick.
Santos stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Niccoli.
Santos ducks right into an uppercut from Niccoli.
Niccoli lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Niccoli scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Santos beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.

Santos is rocked!
Santos throws a nice looking combination but Niccoli bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Niccoli circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Santos tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Niccoli wins by KO!
