He tries to recover but Geisbert pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Dunn is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Nice takedown defense from Russell. No joy for Diaz on that attempt.
Russell feints a jab promting Diaz to slip. Russell then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Diaz slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Russell manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Diaz on his heels. He'll look to pass Diaz's guard now, I'm sure.

Diaz is looking for a triangle but Russell pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz has his foot on Russell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Russell works his way back into a safe position though.
Diaz trying to keep a closed guard but Russell is proving a slippery customer.
Russell trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Diaz has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Russell should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Diaz has tightened it up now! Russell should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

That was a close second round but I would say that Roberval Santos will probably get the nod.

John Grisham had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Repomies throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Repomies leaves Grisham with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Repomies throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Grisham's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Repomies dives in looking to finish as Grisham flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Repomies's strikes! Repomies is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Grisham's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Grisham was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
