Nice takedown defense from Russell. No joy for Diaz on that attempt.
Russell feints a jab promting Diaz to slip. Russell then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Diaz slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Russell manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Diaz on his heels. He'll look to pass Diaz's guard now, I'm sure.
Diaz is looking for a triangle but Russell pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diaz has his foot on Russell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Russell works his way back into a safe position though.
Diaz trying to keep a closed guard but Russell is proving a slippery customer.

Diaz has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Russell should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Diaz has tightened it up now! Russell should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Repomies dives in looking to finish as Grisham flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Repomies's strikes! Repomies is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Grisham's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Grisham was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
