The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes tries a head kick but it misses.

Ryu rushes Gomes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ryu is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gomes is defending well for now.
Gomes misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ryu gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gomes.

Gomes breaks the clinch.

Ryu closes the distance and pushes Gomes back into the cage.
Gomes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Gomes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gomes avoids the head kick by Ryu.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Khalidov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kai Shek bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Khalidov's head backwards.
Kai Shek jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Khalidov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kai Shek lands a head shot.
Khalidov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kai Shek as he avoids it easily.

Khalidov tries to clinch but Kai Shek moves out of range.
Khalidov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khalidov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kai Shek tries to avoid it but Khalidov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kai Shek to the ground. Kai Shek escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chiang Kai Shek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mamed Khalidov.

Kai Shek creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Khalidov with a big uppercut! Khalidov tries to clinch up but Kai Shek pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Khalidov to the mat! Khalidov covers up and Kai Shek unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chiang Kai Shek!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Fredriksson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

I think Alldren might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to OK State Fight Song. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lomuh uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Alldren.

Akazumi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. O Fenomeno looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Akazumi is staying tight to O Fenomeno's torso, preventing him from escaping.
O Fenomeno is looking for a sweep.

Akazumi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. O Fenomeno knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kim lands a nice looking body kick.
Kim slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kim sizes up Soto with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kim feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Soto's calf.
Kim lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Soto tries to clinch but Kim moves out of range.

Soto tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Soto on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Soto fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kim manages to avoid it.
Kim scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Moa Soto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Soto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kim.
Soto tries to clinch up but Kim circles away and keeps his distance.

Kim fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Soto has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That kick from Kim tenderised Soto's leg. Soto is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kim catches Soto with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kim moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kim connects with a right hand. Soto shakes it off.
Kim just misses with a punch to the body.
Soto takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Kim fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Soto looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Soto moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kim. That's going to slow Soto down.

Kim scores with a sloppy right hand. Soto should have avoided that one.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Soto takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kim.
Kim is looking to land body kicks.
Kim connects with a looping right hand.
Soto's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kim. Soto does a little dance to reset his feet.
Soto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
An inside leg kick lands from Kim.
Kim moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Soto throws a head kick but Kim moves out of range.
Soto looks gassed!
Kim scores with a jab to the body.
Kim swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Soto.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sang Min Kim dominated that round.
That's time! Kim's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Soto takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kim moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Soto is rocked!
The fighters circle, before Kim throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Soto's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Kim lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Sang Min Kim!
Sang Min Kim got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
