The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akaba misses with a head kick.
Kajiwara throws a half hearted mid kick.
Akaba throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kajiwara takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
No joy there for Akaba, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Akaba keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Akaba is looking to clinch but Kajiwara is avoiding it.
Kajiwara tries to clinch there but Akaba circles away.
Akaba misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kajiwara bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
No luck for Kajiwara with that takedown attempt.
Kajiwara shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Kajiwara decides to stand up, so the ref orders Akaba to his feet.

Horrible takedown by Kajiwara or perhaps it was just good defense by Akaba which made him look bad.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Akaba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kajiwara swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kajiwara working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Akaba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Akaba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kajiwara throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Akaba stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Kajiwara follows into mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kajiwara lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Akaba crumples to the floor! Kajiwara milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Donk. Khan catches Dingo right on the button with a cross.
Khan cracks a nice hook into Dingo's ribs.

Dingo has Khan up against the cage in a clinch.
Khan tries to pull guard but Dingo won't allow it.
Dingo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Khan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Khan connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Dingo tumbling to the canvas! Khan pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Dingo was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Genghis Khan!

Doi is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Norris frees his head nicely. Oh but Doi has switched to an armbar! Norris is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kimbo Assis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Falling Slowly. Austin has chosen Motorhead-Killed by death as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Assis shoots for a double leg takedown but Austin sprawls well. He's pushed Assis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Assis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Austin finds it's way round the side to connect with Assis's head.
Austin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Assis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Assis moves forwards but Austin connects with a nice, crisp jab.

The fighters circle momentarily. Austin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Austin lands with a straight right. Assis didn't see that one coming.
Austin sizes up Assis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
