Akiyama tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanchez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Akiyama somewhat.

Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Sanchez maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Akiyama could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Sanchez has cracked it and Akiyama is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Sanchez!

Kyle throws a looping overhand right but Okamoto ducks down to avoid it.
Okamoto moves out of range of the leg kick from Kyle.
Okamoto connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Okamoto slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Okamoto cracks a nice hook into Kyle's ribs.
Okamoto connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kyle momentarily.
Kyle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kyle takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Good standup being displayed there by Okamoto as he connects with a hook.
Okamoto uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kyle has time to react.

It looks like Mark Kyle has been cut.
Kyle gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Okamoto gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
