The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Velazquez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Velazquez ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Velazquez looks to land a left hand but Materson moved out of range nicely.

Lashley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brown circles away.
Lashley works over Brown's head and body with a nice combination.
Nice takedown defense from Lashley. No joy for Brown on that attempt.

Lashley takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Lashley throws a combination. Brown tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Brown connects with a right that clearly hurt Lashley. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Brown proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Lashley collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Bushido Brown is the new middleweight champion!
A relieved looking Bushido Brown thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
