The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Chegod gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Chegod takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nice takedown defense from Carter. No joy for Chegod on that attempt.
Carter swings for the body but Chegod moves out of range.

Deane manages to get his head free but now Gatti has transitioned to an armbar! Deane grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Gatti! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darin Blood.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juarez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carson avoids it really well and circles away.
Carson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Juarez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carson tries to avoid it but Juarez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carson to the ground. Carson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Juarez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Juarez shoots in but no luck this time.
Scott Carson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnson Juarez.

Carson pushes Juarez away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Juarez gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Juarez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Carson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Juarez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Juarez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Scott Carson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
