The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kid moves into the clinch.

Kid wants the takedown. Ground Fighter is fighting it off but Kid persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ground Fighter's guard against the cage.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kid wants to get up but he can't break Ground Fighter's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Ground Fighter is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kid closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ground Fighter holds on to Kid's head and controls the position momentarily.

I really don't envy Kid right now.
Ground Fighter really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Kid.
Let's hope that Ground Fighter has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Crazy Horse Ground Fighter hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Kid shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kid will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ground Fighter has his hands clasped together around Kid's back. He's all about the action.
