The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan throws a good cross that connects.
Khan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mendez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mendez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mendez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Khan counters with a straight right hand.
Khan tries to clinch but Mendez is having none of it.

Khan forces Mendez back against the cage and clinches.
Khan tries to pull guard but Mendez forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Khan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mendez walks away with a smile on his face. Khan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
