The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Silva to the ground. Gracie is now in Silva's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Gracie pushes down on Silva's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Gracie thows a huge punch but Silva dodges it nicely.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Silva has managed to free his arm - good work.
Gracie wants to stand up but Silva is controlling the position.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Vasquez stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Orangotango has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Vasquez manages to get his head free but now Orangotango has transitioned to an armbar! Vasquez grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Orangotango! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Toosh shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lopez pinned against the cage. Lopez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lopez looks to land a combination but Toosh avoids it well.
Toosh misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gene Lopez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aloe Toosh.

Lopez lands a left and a right that send Toosh crashing to the mat, dazed. Lopez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Aloe Toosh has been cut.
Lopez catches Toosh with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Toosh forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
