The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laurent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chance was well out of range. Poor timing from Laurent.
Chance throws a left and a right that both miss
and Laurent makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Chance moves out of range as Laurent throws a body kick.
Chance throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Laurent fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chance, pushing him back against the cage.
Chance jumps guard but Laurent stands there with Chance around his waist. Chance gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Laurent lands with a short shot to the head.
Chance tries to pull guard but Laurent holds him up against the cage and eventually Chance drops back down to his feet.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Laurent wants to get back to striking at distance but Chance won't allow it.

Laurent cracks Chance with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Laurent has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Chance drags the fight down to the ground.
Laurent trying to control but Chance is working from the bottom.

Chance had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Laurent defends it easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gary White.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Compton screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Waters shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fujisaki as he avoids it easily.
Waters wants to slow Fujisaki down by chopping away at his legs.
Waters throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Fujisaki avoids the body shot from Waters.
Fujisaki blocks a leg kick.
Waters jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Waters dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fujisaki blocks a jab.
Waters throws an off balance right hand

and Fujisaki counters with a shoot takedown. Waters fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Fujisaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Waters swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Waters is on top in guard.
Waters is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fujisaki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Waters doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Waters manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Waters trying to control the position from guard on top but Fujisaki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Waters wants to pass the guard but Fujisaki is keeping the position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fujisaki is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fujisaki sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Waters's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fujisaki stalling away here and it's allowed Waters to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Waters is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.

Fujisaki has hold of Waters's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Waters seems comfortable defending it but Fujisaki has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Waters is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Waters is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Fujisaki couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Knox dances in with a quick combination. Brasi is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Knox snaps Brasi's head back. Brasi stumbles backwards against the cage. Knox steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Brasi's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Brasi just didn't come prepared.

Johnny Knox really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Steel Penn's Laundry 93% logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
