And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Urijah Faber!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacquiao defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Faber.
Pacquiao looks to land a combination but Faber avoids it well.
Pacquiao takes one on the button.
Pacquiao's corner calls for a 1-2. Pacquiao obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The crowd cheers as Pacquiao lands an impressive looking overhand right. Faber doesn't seem phased though.
Manny Pacquiao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pacquiao throws a one two combo.

Faber looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Faber looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Pacquiao wants to control the position but Faber says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pacquiao wants to control the action here but instead Faber manages to pass to full mount!
Faber controlling the pace for now.
Pacquiao keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Faber sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Let's hope that Faber has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Urijah Faber has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Pacquiao's jab looks to have found its range, popping Faber under the eye.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pacquiao throws a right and a left that both miss.
Faber throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Faber gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Pacquiao gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Faber has Pacquiao pressed against the cage, preventing Pacquiao from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Pacquiao stops a takedown attempt from Faber.
Faber has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pacquiao is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Manny Pacquiao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Urijah Faber.
Faber tries for a takedown. No joy.
Pacquiao wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pacquiao is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Faber goes for a takedown attempt but Pacquiao pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Pacquiao just misses with a punch to the body.
Faber rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Faber takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Pacquiao feints and as Faber raises his hands in defense, Pacquiao changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Faber pulls Pacquiao in to control the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Faber looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pacquiao is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Manny Pacquiao will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Pacquiao fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Faber sprawls well initially but Pacquiao persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Pacquiao is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Faber manages to get to full guard.
Faber manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Pacquiao is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Faber sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Faber swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Urijah Faber!
In his post fight interview, Urijah Faber started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Hase looks to land a combination but Pisa avoids it well.
Pisa avoids a punch combination nicely.

Pisa lands a big head kick that sends Hase tumbling to the mat! Pisa takes a step backwards and waves Hase back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Hase is rocked!

It looks like Hiroshi Hase has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hase misses with a combination
and Pisa counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Blu Pisa!
