The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dama shoots in looking for a takedown. Sterling tries to sprawl out of it but Dama keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sterling manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters circle momentarily. Dama darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sterling tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Sterling closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sterling lands in his opponent's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Dama has an active guard here but Sterling has managed to pass into half guard.
Sterling throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Sterling winds up and cracks Dama with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Sterling has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sterling perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dama lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Sterling is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dama has escaped the position, nice work there.
The referee asks Sterling politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Sterling prefers to stall for the moment though.

Dama is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sterling has just dragged him back down to the mat.

A big strike lands for Sterling! That's really hurt Dama and he's turned his back - Sterling keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Sterling jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

After the fight, Joseph Sterling was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Money feints a jab promting Shepard to slip. Money then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shepard slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like John Shepard has been cut.
Money throws a series of punches but Shepard avoids them all with ease.
Money looks for the body kick but Shepard saw that one coming.
An inside leg kick from Money misses.
Money stalks Shepard and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shepard's face. Shepard staggers backwards, shaken.

Shepard is still on wobbly legs! Can Money finish him?
A clash of legs there as Money blocks the low kick.
Money cracks Shepard with a hook to the temple - Shepard is on wobbly legs here! Money swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Shepard falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Money wins by TKO!

Johnson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gambini.

Gambini turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Johnson off and cradles Gambini's limp body as Johnson celebrates with his corner.

That was a close second round but I would say that Billy Robbin will probably get the nod.

Wilkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Robbin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
