Nova seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Magellen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Nova wants to sweep here but Magellen controlling him for the moment.

Nova is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Magellen tries to free his leg and advance position but Nova is retaining full guard.

Magellen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Magellen stands up and waves to Nova to follow him.
Nova walks into a stiff left hand from Magellen.

Magellen rushes Nova and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nova tries to pull guard but Magellen won't allow it.
Magellen lands a body shot.

Magellen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Nova can't fight it off and eventually Magellen manages to take the fight to the floor. Nova looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nova controls Magellen momentarily but Magellen frees himself.
Magellen is pushing down on Nova's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nova is fighting to maintain full guard but Magellen has managed to sneak the leg through.
Nova tries to roll over but Magellen keeps him under control.

Magellen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Nova on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Nova is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Magellen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Magellen's back!
Magellen turns into Nova and is now in his guard.

Nova throws his legs up looking for a submission but Magellen uses it to pass to side control.
Magellen lands a nice forearm strike.
Nova is looking to reverse the position.
Nova regains half guard.
Magellen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Nova defending well though.
Nova wants to improve his position but Magellen is controlling well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Nova manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Magellen has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Nova to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Magellen is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Nova pulls down on the head and he's put Magellen to sleep! This one is all over!
