Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gio Naza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Naza comes to the cage accompanied by Saliva - Ladies and Gentlemen. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bean's choice of entrance music: Raising Hell. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Riggs throws out a powerful jab.
A bone on bone clash there as Riggs blocks the leg kick.
Riggs throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A swing and a miss from Riggs.
Mellark takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mellark gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Mellark tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Riggs is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Mellark buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Mellark!! Mellark is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Riggs throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derek Riggs!
After winning the bout, Derek Riggs thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate fails with the takedown.
Tate fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gushiken manages to avoid it.

Tate bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gushiken is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tate is controlling him well.
Tate looking to control but instead Gushiken has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tate is pressing down on Gushiken's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gushiken is holding on for now.

Tate changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gushiken looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tate is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Gushiken will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Gushiken is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gushiken lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tate has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tate and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yoko Gushiken will probably get the nod.
