Stag throws a big shot that misses.
Stag tried to score with a low kick but Saint Pierre checks it.

Stag drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Saint Pierre wants to stand and escape but Stag is having none of it.
Stag working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Stag throws a big right hand that misses.
Saint Pierre keeping moving, preventing Stag from controlling successfully.
Stag is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Saint Pierre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stag doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stag manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Saint Pierre knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stag on the ground.
Stag throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Saint Pierre works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stag tries to free his leg and advance position but Saint Pierre is retaining full guard.

Saint Pierre has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Stag has passed into side control.

Stag has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Saint Pierre is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Stag yanks on the arm and Saint Pierre is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Stag.

Esch connects with a nice cross there... Kaizer is looking wobbly and Esch recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Kaizer to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Esch jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Macho Man's corner calls for a 1-2. Macho Man obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Whitehead shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Macho Man as he avoids it easily.

Macho Man looks to land a left hand but Whitehead moved out of range nicely.

Whitehead takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Macho Man cracks Whitehead on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Whitehead falls backwards against the cage. Macho Man follows up with more strikes that drop Whitehead to his knees. Macho Man keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Whitehead! This one is all over!

Devereaux turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Harris off and cradles Devereaux's limp body as Harris celebrates with his corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Serra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Randy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well Serra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
