Rush will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Mckay drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rush manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mckay has Rush in his guard.
Mckay lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rush!
Mckay postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rush looks a forlorn figure.

Mckay goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rush turns into him and now he's in Mckay's guard.

Rush drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rush jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rush lands a couple of decent looking shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rush drops back looking for a leg! Mckay is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mckay manages to kick Rush off! Rush jumps back into Mckay's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mckay is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rush's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Rush is trying to work for a kimura but Mckay is defending well.
Rush has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mckay is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rush's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rush's back!

Mckay has gone for a leg lock! Rush slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mckay's guard.

Mckay is looking to sinch up a triangle. Rush throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mckay's body to avoid the submission. Mckay has instead reached around Rush's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mckay arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
