The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greco moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Greco fails to land with a series of punches.

Cat shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Cat wants to free his trapped foot but Greco is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cat looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Greco with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Greco keeps working.

Cat tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cat lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Greco down.
Greco is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cat off and has taken his back!
Cat controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Greco is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Greco is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cat is aware though and is defending well.

Greco throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cat escapes and throws Greco's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Abbott tries to clinch but Velasquez moves out of range.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Israel Kamakawiwo Ole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dane Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kamakawiwo Ole might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Somewhere over the Rainbow. Dane Hill acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamakawiwo Ole shoots in looking for a takedown but Hill manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kamakawiwo Ole's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
