Undercard bout

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cu IV (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Cramberries - Dreams kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Cu IV had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. IV sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Silva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but IV swats him away and circles back towards the center.
IV changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but IV manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A combination from Silva does no damage.
IV shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cu IV. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Melo goes for a small jab and connects. Now Melo goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Parta stumbles back but Melo runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Parta to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Parta will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
