The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wha throws a lazy uppercut
and Kuukeri counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bleh Wha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wha tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kuukeri swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Donk. Kuukeri catches Wha right on the button with a cross.
Wha uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kuukeri.

Kuukeri shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wha is trying to defend but Kuukeri finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kuukeri is looking for a kimura but Wha is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kuukeri to get the leverage.
Wha is not content to let Kuukeri control the position.

Wha really wants to buck Kuukeri off and get back to his feet.
