Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craken Skulls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shawn Henderson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skulls shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Henderson defends it nicely.
Skulls tries to clinch

so Henderson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Skulls looking for a sweep. Not yet Skulls, not yet.

Skulls has his foot on Henderson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Henderson works his way back into a safe position though.

Henderson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Skulls trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Henderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Henderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Henderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skulls swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Henderson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Skulls is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Henderson, into his guard.
