Souza's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mathers under the eye.

Mathers shoots in for a takedown but Souza shows good takedown defense.
Mathers slips a jab and a cross from Souza.
Anderson Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souza throws a chopping leg kick but Mathers manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Souza looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Souza throws an overhand right that has Mathers reeling! Souza follows up with more punches and Mathers is out cold! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fischer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
Fischer tests Silva's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Fischer lunges at Silva with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Silva's hand.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Fischer, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Fischer against the cage but Fischer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nikola Fischer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Silva.

Fischer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Fischer finish him?

Fischer tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Fischer.

Fischer is pushing Silva up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Nice body punch from Fischer - that landed with a thud.

Fischer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Sloppy strikes from Fischer. Those never looked like landing.

Fischer connects with a superb combination that knocks Silva out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Fischer before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Silva!

VelazQuez Borner had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Jose Brasileiro is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.
