Matos looks to land a right hand but Schmelly moved out of range.

and Schmelly counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Schmelly throws a jab but it's blocked by Matos.

Trott fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Schwalle.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Schwalle crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Trott - the referee stops the clock and Schwalle gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Trott. Schwalle manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Trott drops Schwalle with a big left hand! Schwalle is injured, injured bad! Trott jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garcia shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Peixoto 's guard.

Garcia drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Garcia jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Garcia passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Garcia is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Peixoto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Garcia is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Peixoto is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Garcia is trying to get an arm triangle but Peixoto is defending well.
Garcia is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Garcia has hold of Peixoto 's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Peixoto seems comfortable defending it but Garcia has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Peixoto is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Peixoto is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Garcia couldn't care less - he's delighted!
