The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Claude throws a leg kick but Weeonu sees it coming and moves out of range.

Claude drives through and clinches with Weeonu against the cage.
Claude tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Weeonu jumps guard and drags Claude to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Claude wants to control from the top but Weeonu keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Claude got a little sloppy there for a moment and Weeonu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Claude has managed to get both his arms back between Weeonu's legs - danger averted.
Claude passes Weeonu's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Weeonu tries to roll over but Claude keeps him under control.
Claude wants to pass the guard but Weeonu is defending well.
Claude works his foot free and advances to mount.
Claude throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Weeonu because Claude loaded up on that one.

Claude with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Weeonu tries to improve his position but instead Claude has taken his back!

Claude is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Weeonu with him. Weeonu is trying to defend but Claude has an arm under the chin now! Weeonu grimaces and is forced to tap out!

Juan Punchd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Punchd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Swanson tries to avoid it but Punchd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Swanson to the ground. Swanson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wallace leaves Chaka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Wallace dives in and scores a takedown into Chaka's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wallace loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Chaka preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Wallace scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Chaka wants to sweep but no luck.
Chaka is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wallace won't allow Chaka to sweep him here.

Wallace has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Chaka to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Wallace is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Chaka pulls down on the head and he's put Wallace to sleep! This one is all over!

Thuam Chaka spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
