Artur Szpilka told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon misses with a low kick.
Szpilka looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Szpilka thows a body shot but no joy.
Cannon blocks a low kick nicely.

Cannon feints and as Szpilka raises his hands in defense, Cannon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Cannon scoring with some ground and pound.
Cannon cracks Szpilka with a solid left hand.
Cannon trying to control the position from guard on top but Szpilka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cannon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boughdoy throws a leg kick that misses.
Gentry showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Boughdoy.
Gentry blocks a leg kick.

Gentry shoots in and bounces Boughdoy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gentry lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Boughdoy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gentry is one step ahead there.
Boughdoy wants to stand and escape but Gentry is having none of it.
Gentry seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gentry's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Drake tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lister manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Drake closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lister's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lister bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Drake's guard.
Lister postures up in Drake's guard and throws a big left but Drake blocks it.
Drake throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Drake seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gerrard swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gerrard throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Smith because Gerrard loaded up on that one.

Gerrard throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Smith closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gerrard circles away.
Gerrard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gerrard as he avoids it easily.
Smith blocks a head kick by Gerrard.
Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gerrard cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gerrard throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.
Gerrard misses the shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Gerrard counter with a right hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mick Gerrard showed his dominance in that final round.
