I think La Plante might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to MegaDeth- This Day We FIGHT!. Stewart has chosen Momma Said Knock You Out as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
La Plante throws a right and a left that both miss.
La Plante looks to land a combination but Stewart avoids it well.
Stewart tries to close the distance and clinch but La Plante swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stewart uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from La Plante.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pierre La Plante.

Mullin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cane was covering up waiting for the punch and Mullin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cane is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mullin defends well.
Mullin tries to stand but Cane is controlling from the bottom.

Cane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mullin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mullin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
