Punch throws a hook to the side of Kerensky's head but Kerensky sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kerensky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Punch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poulter moves into the clinch.
McGowen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Poulter gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Poulter prevents the takedown attempt.
McGowen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Poulter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Poulter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McGowen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

McGowen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Poulter is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McGowen.

McGowen jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

McGowen swings for the body but Poulter moves out of range.

McGowen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Poulter sees it coming and avoids it easily.

McGowen lands with a hook. Poulter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Poulter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McGowen.

and Poulter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
McGowen wants a takedown.

McGowen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Poulter walks away with a smile on his face. McGowen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Poulter throws the kick towards the body but McGowen avoids it.

Poulter closes the distance and clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McGowen has a couple of punches blocked by Poulter.
Poulter is pressed up against the cage. McGowen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Poulter down to the mat. Poulter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
McGowen throws a lazy uppercut
and Poulter counters with a right hand to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Poulter lands a slapping body shot.
Poulter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Poulter lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Jamison McGowen has been cut.

McGowen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

McGowen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Poulter's guard.
Poulter looking to hit a scissor sweep but McGowen is one step ahead there.
Poulter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

McGowen throws an elbow that misses. Poulter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McGowen's guard. Nice move by Poulter!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Poulter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McGowen.
McGowen looks to throw the jab but Poulter is out of range.

Poulter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Poulter wants it to stay on the feet.
Nice uppercut lands for Poulter. That snapped McGowen's head back.
McGowen misses with a straight left.
McGowen throws a poor cross that misses
and Poulter counters with a nice body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Poulter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Poulter cracks McGowen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Poulter lands a big head kick that sends McGowen tumbling to the mat! Poulter takes a step backwards and waves McGowen back to his feet - he wants the finish!

McGowen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Poulter pinned against the cage. Poulter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Oh McGowen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
