Gudjonsen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yelgersmold tries to avoid it but Gudjonsen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yelgersmold to the ground. Yelgersmold escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Yelgersmold defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gudjonsen.
Gudjonsen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yelgersmold's waist but Yelgersmold gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gudjonsen off to one side.
Drakaath Yelgersmold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erik Gudjonsen.
Yelgersmold cracks Gudjonsen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

It looks like Erik Gudjonsen has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gudjonsen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Yelgersmold lands an uppercut, right on the button! Gudjonsen tumbles backwards into the ropes, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsuki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tsuki has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tsuki there as he acknowledges the shot.

Smith lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Oooooh!!! Smith has knocked Tsuki down with a huge combo! Smith steps away and waves a wobbly Tsuki back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Tsuki flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Tsuki is out cold! Smith holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
