The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Mcclain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mcclain is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Mcclain shoots in and drives through. Messner sprawls well.

Maher shoots in for a takedown but Ortiz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ortiz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Maher sprawls well initially but Ortiz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ortiz seems to be working for a kimura but Maher defends the submission attempt.
Ortiz wants to advance to full mount but Maher doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Ortiz drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ortiz seems to have locked his on tight now - Maher screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ortiz, as he picks up the win!

Our winner, Tito Ortiz, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Burrows (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Razor Ramon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Burrows might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sweet Child 'O Mine. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Tyler takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Tyler on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Tyler is rocked!

Oh Tyler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
