The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wash closes the distance but Sherk moves to the side

and Sherk counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sherk with a flurry of punches that miss.

Wash is pushing Sherk's head away, looking to escape. Sherk manages to hold on to the position though.

Sherk has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wash is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sherk yanks on the arm and Wash is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sherk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redfield lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Ken Shamrock has been cut.
Shamrock dives in and grabs Redfield's left leg, looking for a takedown. Redfield pushes down on Shamrock's head and hops out.
Redfield scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fighters circling - Shamrock throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Redfield throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Redfield cracks Shamrock with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Redfield throws a right hand that Shamrock ducks under and follows up with a left that Shamrock also avoids with ease.
Chris Redfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
