Williams has Hammer pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Hammer is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Williams - that's hurt Hammer badly! Oh, another knee lands and Hammer is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Hammer doesn't seem to be complaining.

and Kaufmann decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chakka's guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ball moves away.

davis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
davis lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ball or not.
Ball tries to pull guard but davis won't allow it.
Ball jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as davis walks away with a smile on his face. Ball gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ball tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but davis swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinn Ball. That's going to take a lot out of him.
davis lands an overhand right.
davis slaps away a takedown attempt from Ball, before circling back to the center of the mat.
davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ball.
Ball shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with davis but davis pushes him off and we're back to square one.
davis cracks a nice hook into Ball's ribs.

Ball tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. davis smiles and moves away.

Nice combo by davis! Oh, that's hurt him - Ball falls to the canvas and davis follows him into side control.
