The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pronin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Xiilianiatoph tries to avoid it but Pronin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Xiilianiatoph to the ground. Xiilianiatoph escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pronin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Xiilianiatoph but Xiilianiatoph pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice takedown defense from Pronin. No joy for Xiilianiatoph on that attempt.

Xiilianiatoph closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Xiilianiatoph is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Magyar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but John circles away quickly and effectively.
John connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Magyar tumbling to the canvas! John pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Magyar was done - good stoppage!

We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

That was a close round but I would say that Jongsanan Fairtex will probably get the nod.

Rey shoots for a double leg takedown but Fairtex sprawls well. He's pushed Rey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rey throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fairtex stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fairtex takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Nice uppercut lands for Rey. That snapped Fairtex's head back.
Fairtex fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Rey will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Rey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rey lands a huge takedown. Fairtex is out but the ref is slow to react and Rey lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Fairtex lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
